Gaspe Coastal Lodge 2027
This hosted trip is uniquely designed to offer both single and double-hand casting opportunities, giving anglers the rare chance to build a complete skill set in one unforgettable experience. Out Fly Fishing owner, Josh Nugent, will be providing single-hand casting instruction, while world-champion spey caster Tim Arsenault leads double-hand spey seminars, creating an exceptional learning environment for anglers of all levels while targeting both Atlantic Salmon and Striped Bass in amazing surroundings.
Whether swinging flies for Atlantic salmon, refining spey technique, or casting from skiffs while targeting striped bass on the flats, this experience is built to support beginners through advanced anglers. With hands-on coaching and legendary water at your feet, it’s a rare opportunity to level up your fishing in a world-class setting.
Set along the banks of the world-renowned Grand Cascapédia River, their beautifully restored 19th-century home offers a perfect blend of history, comfort, and unparalleled river access. Originally built on the property of a bustling sawmill, door and sash factory, and bank, the lodge has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its rustic charm while offering all the comforts of modern hospitality.
A mix of Atlantic Salmon fishing and saltwater Striped Bass fishing adds a level of variety not often encountered at area lodges. While fishing for Salmon, anglers are transported and positioned in time-honoured, pole-driven traditional canoes, offering a classic and immersive way to fish the river while preserving the heritage of this legendary fishery. When angling for Stripers, guests of Gaspé Coastal target Striped Bass on the salt flats of Baie des Chaleurs from stable, purpose-built skiff boats, creating a dynamic flats-style experience in a stunning coastal setting.
